Embodied Trauma: Healing Through the Body
Trauma is any experience that overwhelms our ability to process it—whether it’s a physical injury, a cutting remark, an event that feels insignificant to others but deeply impacts us, or long-term, systematic abuse.
Research shows that trauma is stored in the body, not just the mind, and must be processed physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually for true healing to occur.
The Body’s Innate Healing Intelligence
Our bodies hold an intuitive ability to heal, and when we tap into this wisdom, the first step is often regulating the nervous system—creating a foundation for deep, lasting recovery.
Unprocessed trauma can affect our health, relationships, and communities, but releasing it through embodied techniques can be quick, powerful, and profoundly transformative.
Trauma Healing Workshops
These workshops provide practical tools for working with trauma clients while also offering methods to navigate your own healing journey.
Through embodied practices, you will learn how to safely process and release trauma, allowing healing to unfold in a way that is both empowering and sustainable.
Having worked with a wide range of health professionals, I bring experience, compassion, and deep respect for the healing process—and I would love to work with you.

Caroline first started working with trauma in London in 1997 after doing specific healing courses for survivors of sexual abuse.
After moving to New Zealand in 2004, she became sought after for trauma-informed bodywork. In 2017, she finished her qualification as a Biodynamic Craniosacral therapist and started to grasp how trauma is released through the body, and by the body.
Able to finally release her own trauma, she is now fast becoming a specialist in stress, anxiety and trauma. She shares her understanding and knowledge in specific workshops in person and online.
She facilitates Embodied Trauma workshops for therapists of all modalities, as well as individuals and leaders who are keen to know how to support the release of trauma.
She also runs trauma-informed workshops for women - women of all ages, women in menopause, women going through divorce.
Testimonials
"The Embodied Trauma Workshop for Bodyworkers course I participated in was truly enlightening.
Caroline is a warm and compassionate therapist and teacher who brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her teaching.
The course covers some of the science behind trauma, what it is and how it manifests, as well as practical guidance on how to work with clients with trauma held in their bodies.
I would wholeheartedly recommend the course and am keen to work with Caroline again in the future."
