Service Description

Trauma is a tricky thing, and releasing it can be hard. The overwhelm, stuck in the nervous system, cannot always be readily released as the body is trying to keep us safe by suppressing the feelings that were too hard to deal with in the first place. It can be hard to know how to deal with a person who has experienced trauma, and it can be hard to deal with your own trauma, too. Yet confidence and neutrality are important for our bodies to feel safe and let go. When we learn how to engage the body in the release of the pent-up emotions, without going into stories, memories or self-sabotage, the body is very capable of releasing the old pain it has been holding. The ingredients: it needs to know it's safe - and for that, you need to know what you are doing; and neutrality. The more neutral you can be when supporting your client to release trauma through the body, the easier it is for them to do so quickly - and in a way that lasts and is empowering. This workshop is tailored to integrative practitioners who want to support others, or heal themselves. It's part 1 which covers the theory.
