Service Description

Menopause can be a rough time for us. The symptoms can be hard to understand, hard to manage, and for some, can cause us to feel we'd rather be anywhere else than here. Our relationships, our love for ourselves and our body, can suffer. Our mental health can also suffer, as we are not able to do the things we used to do. It can be a stressful time. This is why you need a space to relax with other women who are going through the same things. To connect in meaningful ways, and feel safe knowing you're not the only one who is feeling this way. Learning how to manage the symptoms in a way that is right for you, is vital. Learning how to feel better in your body and come back to yourself. This is what our retreats are offering. You will be guided into gentle movement and held in a loving space. You will learn tools that can be used every day to calm down your body, mind and emotions. You will be able to attend knowledge sessions run by experts in the field and ask questions. This is a retreat like no other - a unique combination of allopathic and alternative understanding and knowledge, bridging the gaps between all disciplines so you can choose what feels right for you. And this particular retreat will also give you access to Kula's beautiful Spa! Your facilitators: Verity Larraman, Dance and Art therapist, Yoga Teacher and trauma specialist, and one of the kindest and most intuitive people on this planet. Verity will show you how to move your body gently and help you restore and learn to relax. Robyn Fausett: Nurse Specialist, CEO of Nest Consulting and Co-Director of Menopause Friendly Aotearoa, NZ. Robyn will offer valuable insights into the effect of the peri/menopausal change physiologically, emotionally, socially and within the workplace. Caroline Panesar, spiritual teacher and facilitator of embodied meditation and women's sharing circles. She brings a deeply emotional and spiritual healing aspect to her work.
